When I tried to encourage my friends to consider the vegan life, I often get feedbacks like: “I can’t do it,” or “I eat whatever my mom cooks,” or “Does it provide enough proteins?” or ” I don’t want to eat tofu all my life,” or “It’s hard,” etc. If a person like me who doesn’t know how to cook or hasn’t touch the kitchen arena for 16 years of my life until the brink of summer 2008 can learn a few tricks to make a delicious vegan meal for myself, then it would probably be a piece of cake for you. :) Even if cooking hasn’t been your favorite thing to do (believe me, it wasn’t mine favorite until recently), you may find cooking (especially vegan meals) a rewarding experience. Not only a vegan lifestyle would provide you a great health and a great body, it would help in fighting against global warming and deliver compassion to the innocent animals.

Be a noble hero because you can. Love and peace begin at home-on our plates.

I hope you find more comfortability and eagerness toward a vegan diet. ;D You certainly won’t loose weight because of the lack of protein, but you would maintain the same energy- if not more- from the omnivores life. Especially, without the fats. Save a life today. Save yourself today. Save our planet. It is easy to destroy life, but your decision of becoming vegan is very noble and appreciated among every beings on the planet. :) Peace!

On a personal note, if you are wondering who I am… I am a 16 years old high school student, attending Mira Mesa High School. In the future, hopefully, I’ll get into UCSD. I have been a vegetarian since 6th grade and a vegan since recently. YAY for animal-free products. :D

Oh yeah, P.S. , it’s yummier. ;) We don’t need to give up our appetite and still be a hero.

If you have any question, feel free to comment. ;)
